Palak Paneer

Ingredients:

1. Spinach puree – One and a Half cup.
2. Paneer – 500 gms (cubed and lightly fried).
3. Vegetable Oil – ½ Cup.
4. Cumin seed – 1 tspn.
5. Bay leaf – 1.
6. Ginger paste – 1 tbsp.
7. Garlic paste – 1 tbsp.
8. Onion – ½ cup (grated).
9. Tomato puree – 1 cup.
10.Salt to taste.
11.Garam Masala – ½ tspn.
12.Red Pepper powder – ½ tspn.
13.Coriander seed powder – ½ tspn.

Preparation:

1. Heat oil and add cumin. When it splutters, add bay leaf, ginger paste and the garlic paste. Saute till it turns light brown.
2. Add onions and saute till it turns golden brown. Add tomatoes and stir fry over medium heat.
3.Add salt, garam masala, powdered coriander seeds and the red pepper powder when the oil seperates. Stir till well mixed.
4. Add spinach and saute for 2-3 minutes. Next add paneer.
5. Turn around a few times and serve hot.
